Welcome at Beit Yossef Girsa School

Girsa School is based on a demanding and ambitious educational project for academic as well as Jewish studies. Our school benefits from skilled, committed and professional teachers approved by the academic authorities.

Academic teaching is focused on the learning of languages and the development of scientific curiosity. The teaching of English leads to the preparation of Trinity College London examinations ( ESOL international ) for students from Grade 5 to Grade 11 and Cambridge University First Certificate in English for students in Grade 11.

Our school believes in encouraging its students to develop their artistic and creative talents but also their general knowledge in a broad range of extra curricular activities.

The program of Jewish studies deeply rooted in Jewish tradition emphasizes the importance of learning Hebrew as a modern language, thus allowing speaking skills and giving a direct access to the texts of our Tradition. Jewish and Hebrew studies are strongly associated with the State of Israel in our educational programs. The dissemination of «Memory» takes a major role in the curriculum and extra curricular activities.

Founded in 1860, the Alliance israélite universelle represents an international academic network which encompasses more than 26 000 students in about 50 schools.

In those schools, mainly located in France, Israel, Europe, North America and Morocco, the meaning of the Alliance education remains faithful to the vision of its Founding Fathers.

The Alliance offers a strong Jewish education rooted in texts and tradition which is enriched by and integrated with a top-class general education.

The Alliance academic network also gives a pluralistic education to students with families from all points on the religious spectrum and teaches them to approach their studies and each other with tolerance and open mindedness.

Aujourd’hui, une école tournée vers l’excellence

Notre histoire
